The NRO’s Intelligence Integrated System Program Office released the Prospector Program Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) on August 6, 2015. The NRO uses BAAs to solicit improvements to existing NRO capabilities, to adapt existing techniques and technologies to the NRO mission, and to develop entirely new processes, services, or tools to meet NRO needs.

NRO’s vision, Supra et Ultra, challenges us to discover groundbreaking capabilities by adapting cutting-edge science and technology for National Security. The unclassified Prospector program seeks innovative solutions and new agile partners to solve hard intelligence problems.

The three topics released for Fiscal Year 2015 are visualization of data, discovery of unknowns, and estimating credibility. The period of performance is for six months for a total award of $350,000. NRO seeks proposals from U.S. domestic educational institutions, non-profit and not-for-profit organizations, and private industry.
